Career

Daniel King is General Manager of Talent & Culture Australia Division and Digital Banking. Australia is ANZ’s largest market, with over 15,000 employees, serving approximately six million retail and commercial customers through an extensive network of branches, business centres and leading online and mobile banking applications.Prior to this, Daniel was based in Hong Kong as the General Manager, Human Resources, International, responsible for delivering the people strategy for ANZ’s businesses across Asia, Europe and America.

Daniel started out his career as a lawyer specialising in industrial and employee relations where as a Senior Associate at Freehills he advised government and corporate clients on all aspects of employment law and corporate governance.

After leaving Freehills, Daniel held the position of Senior Advisor to the Federal Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, providing policy advice and legal expertise on national workplace relations reforms.

Since joining ANZ in 2006, Daniel has held a number of HR and leadership roles across the bank, spending time working in several countries in Asia but primarily living in Singapore and Hong Kong for the last 5 years.

Daniel currently sits as a Director of ANZ Bank (Vietnam) Ltd and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor and Master of Laws from the University of Queensland.
